Wil Wheaton's Hoo-hah, a Cocoa Library, Benjamin Franklin, and the NY Rangers
Wil Wheaton’s hoo-hah
I’m still laughing about an old Onion ‘News in Brief’ story Wil Wheaton weaves into his blog entry hoo-hah. I’m just glad I wasn’t consuming a beverage at the time I hit the story. :)
Cocoa Object Library
Voila
Regarding yesterday’s entry, I suddenly realized this morning that, oh yeah!, I already run a Cocoa development site. So, I slapped together a makeshift page for the new Cocoa Object Library. I’ve kicked things off, but please feel free to add your own entries, if you’ve got something….
The Fascinating Founding Father
Article in the Washington Post in reference to a PBS program this week.
Never a president nor a soldier, Benjamin Franklin was born in obscurity but became the most internationally famous American of his day. He was a self-made man who used intellect, inventiveness, charm, wit and passion to help forge his new nation….’Think of a combination of Bill Gates, Dave Barry, Rupert Murdoch and Henry Kissinger and you begin to have some idea of the scope of his talents, his achievements and his fame.’
Franklin is one of my heroes.
Wounded Rangers Pick Up Help
God, if there’s a team that has had worse injury luck than the Kings this season, it’s the Rangers. Check this out:
The Rangers lost Wednesday night to Chicago without [Goalie Mike] Richter, captain Mark Messier, top defenseman Brian Leetch, leading goal-scorer Pavel Bure and agitator Matthew Barnaby. The Rangers then lost defenseman Sylvain Lefebvre in the second period when he broke his right index finger.
Today they did a little trading and picked up Mike Dunham from the Predators. Let’s see if he does them some good.
