X11 Curiosity Michael McCracken is running some performance benchmarks comparing XDarwin and Apple’s X11. Startup is, however, much faster. :)

Since Apple released an X server (get it here), I thought I’d do a little comparison to the Fink installation. Both claim to use Quartz to good effect. Let’s see how well they do. The data is from x11perf. The tests were chosen arbitraritly. The machine is an iBook 600 with 640MB of RAM. Just as a side note, my Linux desktop is another 5 times faster on a couple of these tests I ran (Hide/expose window). It shows, too…. (Michael McCracken - Weblog)

Capitals 12, Panthers 2

Man, wish I had seen this one instead of the Kings losing their 5th straight. ;)

Jagr had three goals and four assists to match his career high with seven points as the Washington Capitals beat the Florida Panthers 12-2 on Saturday night. Jagr had his first multigoal game of the season and his 10th career hat trick, his first since March 10, 2001, with Pittsburgh. His other seven-point game was Dec. 30, 1999, for the Penguins against the New York Islanders.
