Tiger Thesaurus, Pharaoh, Squishy, Walks

A little note on this macosxhints story, Add a free thesaurus to Pages, just made me very happy: ‘10.4 will add a system-wide dictionary and thesaurus, but until then, the free Nisus Thesaurus is a great addition.’

W00t! :)

First time Pharaoh left at home alone, for a couple of hours this morning; pitifully sad barking when I left.

Squishy test results. Vet not in, but will call with better interpretation of:

  • Nothing too out of line, looks good for 10-year-old cat
  • Slightly high thyroid reading. (Would probably be on thin side if this were a major problem.)
  • Lymphocite levels a little low.

The vet called back — a slight viral infection, but everything looks good. We will continue administering her meds until we run out, then bring her in for another checkup.

Peculiar day continued.

Poor Pharaoh absolutely freaked out when he saw the 4-year-old daughter of one of Denyse’s clients earlier, trying to run back into the house (and thus away from her), peeing all over, etc. — just from seeing her. He didn’t freak out on the other kids, either, from 9 years on up. We think the poor dog might have been hurt or otherwise abused by a little kid, probably a girl and maybe a grandchild of his former owner.

He and I had a good walk to return a movie at Blockbuster. Got a 45-minute walk in — I think I might head down to the gym later.

Had a great Lifecycling at the gym — did the hills program at level 11 for 30 mins. Hard, but felt good — still do.
