The NewsGator acquires NetNewsWire news is a little bittersweet, I must say, because it’s just in my nature to be sad about independent developers being subsumed into larger corporate structures. However, the accompanying benefits couldn’t happen to a nicer fellow. Brent has always been one of my favorite people in the industry, since I first got to know him some years ago now. That his products were stellar Mac apps is, frankly, icing on a cake.

Congratulations, Brent and Sheila! While I’ll miss the Ranchero of old, I know NetNewsWire will continue to both improve and rock for a long time to come. Best of luck to you two on the new path ahead! :)
