Thundery rain?

The forecast for Friday is peculiar:

Cool with thundery rain? I understand what that means, and like it, but it’s one of the more childlike forecasts I think I’ve ever seen. :)

“Rainy thunder” would have sounded much more ominous, by the way.

UPDATE: Alas, the inevitable change has occurred:

Cloudy, a couple of t-storms, eh? So pedestrian! Ah, well. The cloud icon is darker. Innocence is lost so quickly nowadays.
