The Celsius1414 Journal is written by Robert Daeley of Claremont, California. As will become immediately apparent, he is easily distracted.
The temperature 1414°C is the melting point of silicon and is an allusion to Ray Bradbury’s Fahrenheit 451.
Some posts will feature Spanish/Español. The author is studying the language and will probably make mistakes. Lo siento.
“I have tried to know absolutely nothing about a great many things, and I have succeeded fairly well.” — Robert Benchley
“All of us have to learn how to invent our lives, make them up, imagine them. We need to be taught these skills; we need guides to show us how. If we don’t, our lives get made up for us by other people.” – Ursula K. Le Guin
“First and foremost, [Writing] reminds us that we are alive and that it is gift and a privilege, not a right. We must earn life once it has been awarded us. Life asks for rewards back because it has favored us with animation.” – Ray Bradbury
