Cowboys

What's really important

See, even the coach of my favorite football team knows what’s really important. ;)

Speaking as a lifetime Cowboys fan, this is what you call your ambivalent reaction. On the one hand, we just signed arguably the most talented wide receiver in the game. On the other hand, we just signed arguably the most selfish player in any sport. If things play out like they did in Philly, we’ll get to the Super Bowl next season, then everything will fall apart horribly the year after. ;) But Jerry Jones has a history of risking a lot on “troubled,” mouthy players, and they have worked out crazily good.

So I am ambivalent. Ask me at the end of next season how good of a move it was.

Good night, Cowboys

As I write this, the Dallas Cowboys’ season is coming to an end. Actually, it ended before the game started, with neither the Panthers nor the Redskins losing — one of the two prerequisites for the Cowboys making it into the playoffs. It’s sad to see, but it will be mercifully ending in just a few minutes.

Unicode in text editors. All email sucks. Fog rising. Demoralizing sports moments.

Today was the day for both my teams — the Cowboys and the LA Kings — to lose in the last moments of the game. Demoralizing.
