I can see my house from here

The Google Earth Blog is reporting that there's been a significant hi-res photo update of the Google Maps database for large swaths of California and Texas, which will mean a subsequent update of Google Earth in a few days' time. For comparison, I zoomed in on my house in both products to see what we can look forward to.
