Never mind GTD -- try WSD

Sometimes the simplest solution is the hardest to implement. Or so it would seem. Millions, maybe billions, of dollars spent every year on what should be common sense. Take getting things done. Great ideas, relatively easy process to implement. And impossible for some folks.

For someone coming from the complete other end of the Being Organized spectrum, even the common sensical isn’t.

With that in mind, Smallist has published a handy post on how to go about making small, incremental changes to your workflow. It’s called the Writing Shit Down plan, and I think it’s going places.

If you can manage to write shit down for a few weeks, THEN you can start playing with GTD. Otherwise you’re a little like the dysfunctional couple who thinks a baby will solve everything: If it’s not working now, why complicate it further?

Words to live by.
