Best line from this Reuters article: Elephants, lions to roam North America once more? “Pleistocene re-wilding is an optimistic alternative…” Saving endangered mammals from other continents, family members of which used to live in North America, by moving them to protected habitats here. An intriguing concept. I fear the poacher problem might get out of hand here, though.
