Yikes. You know, if the reported $499-599 pricing on the upcoming PlayStation 3 holds, it looks like I’ll be switching to Nintendo for my next console purchase.
Which was probably inevitable given Sony’s recent DRMebacle and continued hamfisted proprietary-predatory practices.
That new Wii controller looks really cool, too.

Looks like it’s going to be $250 or less, according to the official Nintendo Magazine. If that holds, and I can play MLB baseball of some kind on it, that pretty much settles it for me. See also “Nintendo Announces Japanese Wii Price” at /.
