Spate of cool stories in the LA Times

I’m finding myself reading the LA Times more lately, as they’ve been having some really cool stories again. Not sure what that says about me or them, but here is a handful of interest from today:
- Neptune’s Medicine Chest - To Scripps researcher Bill Fenical, the oceans are a tantalizing trove of potential anti-cancer drugs. It’s all about the chemistry, he says.
- They’re Not Just Passing Through - Ospreys are raising a family in a man-made nest that’s been waiting for them in Newport.
- For Soccer Fans at This Pub, It’s Thirst and Goals - Devotees of England’s Arsenal and Spain’s FC Barcelona crowd Lucky Baldwin’s in Pasadena to cheer their teams in European football final.
And on the coincidence front, Fenical’s research trawler is called the Osprey. :)
They also have a new Dodgers blog at the Times site which has been pretty spiffy so far: Blue Notes - Andrew and Brian Kamenetzky bring you all the news from The Ravine
