Riverside Press-Enterprise: Trains work for weekends

The Metrolink commuter rail service, which has made inroads with workers trying to avoid congested freeways during the week, now is targeting people who want another way to get to recreational activities on the weekend. Metrolink plans to offer expanded weekend service to introduce more recreation and leisure options. The train network began Saturday service around Orange County during the weekend, and was expected to add Sunday service July 2. Weekend service on the Inland Empire-Orange County Line between San Bernardino, Riverside and Oceanside is scheduled to start July 15.
