Can’t afford your favorite destination in high season? Try going in low season, when room rates drop and most of the tourists have gone home. It’s true that some places are pricey (and crowded) year-round, like Hawaii or London, but here are five places where the low season is likely to yield a surprise or two….
Although not mentioned in this particular story, Palm Springs is another good destination in summer — with the temps soaring, the prices plummet. One drawback is that some restaurants or businesses close during that period, but most everything is available.
