Good news: Dodgers got a win tonight, breaking their post-All Star Game skid.

Bad news: We had a five-game losing streak, mostly due to absent offense.

Good news: With tonight's game, Chad Billingsly got his first career win.

Bad news: Jeff Kent goes on the DL

Good news: This means tremendous IF prospect Willy Aybar gets another chance in the bigs.

Bad news: Reportedly, the reasonable trade opportunities for pitching are a bit awful at the moment.

Good news: This means we'll probably be holding onto our good prospects for the upcoming seasons.

Bad news: This means the second half of this season might be a bit dicey.

Good news: We had a crazy-good offense in the first half, leading the league in major offensive categories.

Bad news: Home runs was definitely not one of those categories.

Good news: There's a ton of great baseball still to be played.
