A Google of the Artist as a Young Man

The Google Earth Blog has a pointer to another literary contribution in the Google Earth community, a big collection of locations from the James Joyce book Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man:

Most of the placemarks have excerpts showing where the location was mentioned, and they are organized according to chapters. See the post for more details and links to reference material. This is an excellent example of geodocumenting literary material.

I am reminded of Nabokov’s lectures on literature where he would teach, for example, Ulysses using maps of Dublin.
