From the Washington Post:
“Orioles 1B Rafael Palmeiro found an interesting message in his e-mail inbox on Monday. Hank Aaron sent Palmeiro a note to congratulate him for his 3,000th hit, which put the first baseman in an elite class. He joined Aaron, Willie Mays and Eddie Murray as the only players in baseball history with 3,000 hits and 500 home runs. ‘Welcome to the club,’ the e-mail read.”
